Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL) is offering an exciting Apprenticeship Program for fresh graduates with Diplomas of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Instrumentation fields. Duties & Responsibilities for DAE Mechanical
- Undertake the provided trainings effectively.
- Hands-on training for repair, maintenance, and overhauling of Rotary (Pumps/Compressor Engines) and Static (Pipelines, Vessels, etc.) assets.
- Participate in maintenance and operation of valves and fittings.
- Learn and participate in Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) activities.
- Assist in repair and maintenance of vessels, towers, air coolers, storage tanks, valves, and wellheads.
- Support the Field Engineer in commissioning mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Assist in monitoring the corrosion prevention system.
- Perform quality inspections on materials, tools, and consumables delivered to the plant site.
- Maintain inventory levels for necessary spares and materials used during maintenance.
- Document plant operations, parameters, and maintenance activities as per standard formats.
- Ensure the proper functioning of the mechanical workshop, including tools.
- Learn welding and erection of piping and its accessories.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and painting of all Static and Rotary equipment, structures, and areas under jurisdiction.
Duties & Responsibilities for DAE Electrical & Instrumentation
- Undertake the provided trainings effectively.
- Learn and participate in daily scheduled maintenance jobs of all electrical and instrument equipment as per the maintenance schedule.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and instrumentation distribution systems, including generators, electric motors, and controls.
- Assist E&I Engineers during the commissioning and installation of new equipment.
- Participate in regular inspections and prepare reports as per the inspection cycles and procedures.
- Learn techniques to ensure all electrical equipment functions within the designed parameters.
- Assist in the maintenance of PCB cards and other accessories of control panels, including PLC-based control systems.
- Support in installing electrical system components such as cabling, lighting, alarms, electrical panels, switches, and circuits.
- Ensure accurate updating of E&I records, system drawings, and databases.
- Maintain proper housekeeping of all E&I assets.
Qualification
- DAE Mechanical: Minimum 3-Year Diploma of Associate Engineering (Mechanical) from a recognized institute.
- DAE Electrical & Instrumentation: Minimum 3-Year Diploma of Associate Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation) from a recognized institute.
- Experience: Preferably fresh or a maximum of 1 year of experience in the relevant field.
- Skills: Knowledge of relevant principles, understanding of hand tools, and basic computer skills (Data entry, Microsoft Office).
