Detail About Punjab Energy Department Jobs 2024
Chief Engineer (Power), Energy Department, Government of the Punjab, invites applications from suitable and enthusiastic candidates domiciled in Punjab for the following temporary positions. These positions are on a contract basis for a period of one year under the project “Establishment of Research Cell in Energy Department.”
Available Positions:
- Energy Research Head
- Salary: PKR 650,000 per month
- Qualifications: Ph.D. or M.Sc. (Engineering) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical from a recognized university by HEC, with registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years post-qualification experience (Ph.D.) or 20 years post-qualification experience (M.Sc.) in the relevant field. Must possess experience with policy and regulatory processes in the power sector.
- Tariff Expert
- Salary: PKR 450,000 per month
- Qualifications: Chartered Accountant, Cost & Management Accountant, or MBA (Finance) from a recognized university by HEC.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience (CA) or 15 years post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
- Preferred: Familiarity with tariff-related matters, EPC claims, negotiations, PPA, and project documentation. Public sector experience is preferred.
- Energy Policy Expert
- Salary: PKR 450,000 per month
- Qualifications: M.Sc. or B.Sc. (Engineering) in Electrical or Mechanical from a recognized university by HEC, with registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council.
- Experience: Minimum 12 years post-qualification experience (M.Sc.) or 15 years post-qualification experience (B.Sc.) in the relevant field.
- Preferred: Experience with policies, regulations, and laws of the power sector, and familiarity with document creation (POD, RFP, PPA, IA).
- Oil and Gas Expert
- Salary: PKR 450,000 per month
- Qualifications: M.Sc. or B.Sc. (Engineering) in Chemical or Petroleum from a recognized university by HEC, with registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council.
- Experience: Minimum 12 years post-qualification experience (M.Sc.) or 15 years post-qualification experience (B.Sc.) in the relevant field.
- Preferred: Experience in regulatory, policy, and operational matters in oil and gas sector.
- Legal Expert
- Salary: PKR 450,000 per month
- Qualifications: Law graduate from a recognized university by HEC.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
- Preferred: Experience dealing with energy sector policies, laws, and rules & regulations. Familiarity with corporate/commercial laws, drafting contracts, and MoUs is a plus.
