On the successful execution of the first phase of the Young Development Fellows (YDFS) program, the Planning Commission/ Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives is pleased to announce the 2nd Batch of the YDFS Program (2nd Phase) under its project titled “Capacity Building and Institutional Strengthening.”
YDF offers a unique opportunity for young people who are highly qualified and motivated in areas relevant to the Planning Commission’s work, such as:
- Economic and International Economics
- Social Sector
- Energy
- Performance Management & Evaluation
- Strategic Planning
- Information Technology
- Urban Planning
- Industrial Management
- Project Management
- Project Appraisal
- Public Policy and Governance
- Development Communication
- Infrastructure Development
- Financial Analysis/Management
- Water Management
- Agriculture
a) Eligibility Criteria:
- Age: Between 18-30 years.
- Educational Qualification: Hold a Ph.D., Master’s, or professional degree (at least 16 years of educational qualification) from a reputable foreign or local university in the fields mentioned above.
- Experience: Preferably some relevant professional experience related to development or continued academic study at the doctoral level.
- Previous Participation: Has not joined the first phase of the YDFS program.
b) Additional Qualifications:
Applicants should:
- Display a commitment and passion for national development.
- Possess outstanding academic and/or professional credentials.
- Exhibit excellent team leadership skills.
The selected YDFs will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 75,000/-, all-inclusive, for a period of one year.
