Chief Surveyor
As the Chief Surveyor at Mari Petroleum Company Limited, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating with clients and various technical departments to ensure the successful execution of survey technical parameters. As the Head of the Survey Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the survey team and activities, managing the operation plans, and ensuring the smooth execution of surveys.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising Survey Team: Oversee and manage the activities of the survey team.
- Advance Scouting and Planning: Responsible for scouting challenging terrains and assisting crew management in planning.
- Map Preparation: Prepare various kinds of maps, including project, route, and base camp maps.
- Survey Equipment Configuration: Configure and calibrate all survey GPS/GNSS equipment for static and RTK operations.
- Geodetic Network Establishment: Establish geodetic network control stations and process the GPS network.
- Seismic Survey Design: Design seismic surveys, such as 2D lines or 3D grids, based on client parameters.
- Data Processing: Process raw data using Survey QC software on a daily basis and ensure survey data quality assurance.
- Deployment of Equipment and Teams: Responsible for the deployment of bulldozers and survey teams.
- Report Preparation: Prepare daily reports, final survey reports, and deliverables.
- GIS Mapping and Data Management: Perform GIS mapping and manage GIS data.
- Budgeting: Provide inputs to the Management in preparing CAPEX and OPEX budgets for the survey department.
- HSE Compliance: Ensure 100% HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) compliance at all times.
- Management System Compliance: Demonstrate full commitment to comply with the company’s Integrated Management System and Management System Procedures.
Qualification & Experience:
- DAE (Diploma of Associate Engineering) in Civil/GIS/F.A with a 1-year diploma in Survey.
- Minimum 15 – 20 years of experience with seismic crews along with 5 years’ experience as a Senior Surveyor.
- Candidates with Master’s/Bachelor’s degrees from HEC recognized institutes, in case of inland education, will be preferred.
- Proficiency in geodetic coordinate systems and survey basic techniques.
- Proficient in survey software such as Trimble Business Centre, GP Seismic, Arc GIS, AutoCAD, and Global Mapper.
