Hydrogeologist
Department: Hydrology
Location: Reko Diq Mine Site – Balochistan
Qualification:
- BSc/BSc Honors Degree majoring in Geology or Hydrogeology.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in Hydrogeology in the Mining Industry would be advantageous.
Requirements:
- In-depth understanding of relevant safety and mining legislation.
- Knowledge of geotechnical engineering practices, principles, and processes.
- Basic understanding of the risk assessment process.
- Knowledge of Mine Planning Principles.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and time management skills.
- Report writing skills.
- Data management and analytical skills.
- Project management skills.
- People/contractor management skills.
- Computer Literacy (MS Office and relevant Hydrogeological and Geotechnical Engineering Packages).
Responsibilities:
- Oversee water supply and ensure compliance with legislation.
- Implement safety measures related to hydrogeology.
- Monitor water levels and quality.
- Manage capital projects related to water infrastructure.
- Coordinate contractors and consultants involved in hydrogeological projects.
- Plan water activities in collaboration with mine sections.
- Ensure accurate water balance accounting and reporting.
