The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan has launched the Interim Placement of Fresh PhDs (IPFP) – Phase II, Batch VI, designed to provide academic experience and mentorship for one year in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Federal/Provincial Government Postgraduate Degree Colleges. This program helps fresh PhD holders transition into the academic job market.
Applications are now open for Batch VI in all disciplines.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for IPFP Phase-II Batch VI, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Nationality: Pakistani/AJK nationality.
- Age Limit: Must be under 40 years on the closing date of application.
- Educational Qualification:
- PhD degree must be from an HEC-recognized university (Pakistani or foreign).
- Degree must be completed within two years before the advertisement.
- Research Requirement: Minimum two research publications in HEC-recognized or indexed journals.
- Employment Status:
- Only unemployed applicants are eligible.
- Candidates in temporary or contract jobs may apply, but if selected, they must resign and provide a clearance certificate from their employer.

Steps to Apply:
- Apply Online via HEC E-Portal: http://eportal.hec.gov.pk/ipfp.
- Upload Required Documents:
- Scanned copies of HEC-attested PhD degree or equivalence certificate (if applicable).
- Deposit Slip of Rs. 3,000/- (non-refundable) for application processing (Habib Bank Limited, Account Number 1742-79001334-01).
- Printed application form with all documents, photographs, and original fee slip (hard copy submission required).
- Ensure Proper Submission:
- Hard copy must be properly bounded and flagged; otherwise, it will not be entertained.
- Pre-Assessment Test:
