Position: Nautical (Deck) & Marine Engineering Cadets
Batch: 62nd Batch
Session: 2024 – 2025
Eligibility Conditions:
- Unmarried Male Citizens: Only unmarried male citizens of Pakistan are eligible.
- Age Limit: Age should not exceed 20 years as of December 31, 2023. For candidates from FATA/Gilgit Baltistan/AJK/Balochistan, the age limit is 21 years (with a one-year age relaxation).
Academic Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed F.Sc Pre-Engineering or O/A Level with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and at least 55% marks.
- O/A Level candidates must submit an Equivalence Certificate.
- F.Sc/A Level Part-II appearing candidates with a minimum of 60% marks in Part-I can apply, provided they submit a Hope Certificate from their college/institute.
- If a candidate fails to achieve 55% marks in F.Sc after providing a Hope Certificate, they may be disqualified at any stage of the selection process or during training.
Scholarships:
- 37 Fully paid scholarships are offered to Cadets.
- 33 need-based scholarships are sponsored by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.
- 04 need-based scholarships are given by Global Radiance Group of Companies.
Ineligibility:
- Various factors, including tampered academic certificates, concealment of information, withdrawal from training, dismissal from Government Service, conviction for offenses, and medical ineligibility, can lead to ineligibility.
Education/Training & Degrees/Certificates Awarded:
- 02 years residential training will be conducted at PMA.
- Upon completion of training, an Associate Degree in Nautical Science and Marine Engineering will be awarded by NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi.
- Certificates of International Maritime Organization (IMO) recognized Pre-Sea Mandatory Courses will also be awarded.

How to Register:
- Prospectus and application form can be downloaded from the PMA website: www.marineacademy.edu.pk.
- The same is also available at the PMA Admission Office.
- Submit the application form through courier services along with a pay order/bank draft of Rs. 3,000/- in favor of Pakistan Marine Academy, Karachi, National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), PMA Branch Code-0239 (PO/DD from any bank is accepted).
- Candidates applying under the Self Finance Scheme (SFS) need to submit an additional pay order/bank draft of Rs. 300,000/- along with the application form.
- SFS fee will be refunded if the candidate is selected on open merit or does not meet PMA eligibility criteria.
