Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited invites experienced professionals to apply for several contract-based positions. We are seeking candidates with relevant qualifications and expertise in the marine and heavy industry sectors.

Available Positions & Key Details

Position/Billet	Key Qualifications & Experience
DGM (Sales)	– Education: BE in Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine Naval Architecture; PEC-registered. – Experience: 10-20 years in the relevant field; marine sector experience is preferred.
Manager (Piping) / AM (Mechanical)	– Education: BE / B.Tech / DAE in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine Engineering. – Experience: • BE candidates: 8-10 years; • B.Tech/DAE candidates: 15-20 years in the marine industry. – Additional: Preference for retired Armed Forces personnel; repair/maintenance experience of heavy-duty pumps, cranes, and marine diesel engines; Age up to 45 years (relaxable for extraordinary candidates).
Mechanical Engineer / Technician	– Education: BE (Mechanical); PEC-registered. – Experience: Minimum 3 years in an industrial heavy setup. – Skill: Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul mechanical machinery/equipment will be preferred.
Technical Assistant (AM 05 – Technical)	– Role: Provide technical support and assistance within the technical division.
Electrician	– Education & Experience Options: • Option 1: BE/BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Metallurgy & Materials Engineering; PEC-registered; more than 3 years’ experience; Age up to 30 years. • Option 2: DAE in Electrical/Mechanical with 2-3 years’ experience; Age up to 30 years. • Option 3: DAE (Electrical) with similar criteria. – Note: For this role, age relaxations may be considered for extraordinary candidates.

Detailed Job Descriptions

1. DGM (Sales)

Education: BE (Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine Naval Architecture) with PEC registration.
Experience: A minimum of 10-20 years in the relevant field is required. Experience in the marine sector is an added advantage.

2. Manager (Piping) / AM (Mechanical)

Education: BE / B.Tech / DAE in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine Engineering.
Experience:
- BE candidates: 8-10 years;
- B.Tech/DAE candidates: 15-20 years in the marine industry.
Additional Criteria:
- Retired Armed Forces personnel will be given preference.
- Candidates with repair/maintenance experience of heavy-duty pumps, cranes, and marine diesel engines are preferred.
- Age up to 45 years (relaxable for extraordinary candidates).

3. Mechanical Engineer / Technician

Education: BE in Mechanical (PEC-registered).
Experience: At least 3 years in an industrial heavy industry setup.
Skill Preference: Ability in troubleshooting, repair, and overhauling mechanical machinery/equipment.

4. Technical Assistant (AM 05 – Technical)

Posts Available: 04
Role: Assist in technical operations and support various engineering tasks.

5. Electrician

Posts Available: 02
Qualifications & Experience:
- Option 1 (BE/BS):
  - Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Metallurgy & Materials Engineering; PEC-registered.
  - More than 3 years of relevant experience; Age up to 30 years.
- Option 2 (DAE):
  - DAE in Electrical/Mechanical or DAE (Electrical) with 2-3 years’ experience; Age up to 30 years.
