Power Planning & Monitoring Company (PPMC) is mandated to provide policy and technical support to the Ministry of Energy (Power Division), integrated planning of the Power Sector of Pakistan, development and implementation of strategic plans for the power sector, and to administer, monitor, and evaluate the performance of Power Sector Entities under the approved policies/plans.

The Company is seeking applications for the following positions from eligible persons who can perform the assigned tasks under the thematic areas mentioned above, National Electricity Plan, and/or Company policies.

1. Management Trainee Officer (MTO) – Technical (3 Positions)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Concept Papers, Reports, Seminar/Workshop Reports, Technical Reports, Summaries, and Policy briefs.
  • Develop presentations, reports, and orientations pertaining to policy, planning, and support functions.
  • Assist in the development of dedicated models for energy transition scenarios, power planning, etc.
  • Perform Data Management, logging, and coordination/dissemination internally.
  • Conduct research/studies for document and model formulation.
  • Support the core functions in assigned tasks.
  • Conduct research and support in decision-making regarding sectoral developments and strategic planning.
  • Collect and update data, references, and related local & global developments.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor (4 Years) / Master Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Energy Systems Engineering / Engineering Sciences from an HEC-recognized / affiliated institute/university.

2. Management Trainee Officer (MTO) – Information Technology (2 Positions)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support in various IT functions, including software applications development, system operations, and network management.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring seamless system functionality.
  • Provide support for the development of work plans, IT procurement plans, policies, and strategies.
  • Assist in application development, deployment, and implementation.
  • Conduct research on digitalization, emerging trends, automation, and technology development.
  • Carry out R&D, feasibility studies, and project analysis.
  • Review and evaluate software feasibility studies and detailed specifications.
  • Develop presentations, reports, and orientations related to IT department functions.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor (4 Years) / Master Degree in Computer Sciences / Software / Computer Engineering / Machine Learning / AI or related fields from an HEC-recognized / affiliated institute/university.

3. Management Trainee Officer (MTO) – Finance (3 Positions)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop presentations, reports, and orientations regarding tariffs, subsidies, circular debt reporting, and support functions.
  • Carry out financial data analysis and support the development of financial models.
  • Provide assistance in reviewing tariff-related motions and reconsideration requests.
  • Develop Concept Papers, Study Reports, Seminar/Workshop Reports, Technical Reports, Summaries, and Policy briefs.
  • Assist in dedicated model development for consumer and tariffs, subsidies, circular debt, etc.
  • Perform Data Management, logging, and coordination/dissemination internally.
  • Conduct research/studies for document/model formulation.
  • Support the core functions in assigned tasks.
  • Conduct research and support decision-making regarding tariff design and power sector value-chain.
  • Collect and update data, references, and related local & global developments.

Qualification:

  • Chartered Accountant / Cost & Management Accountant (CA / ICMA / ACCA / CFA) or 4 Years Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or related fields (at least 16 years of education) from an HEC-recognized institute/university.
  • Candidates with relevant certifications are encouraged to apply.

4. Management Trainee Officer (MTO) – Human Resource (1 Position)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support in the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
  • Support initiatives aimed at boosting employee morale and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Assist in processing payroll, benefits administration, and HR documentation.
  • Conduct research to identify industry best practices and recommend improvements.
  • Perform Data Management, logging, and coordination/dissemination internally.
  • Support the coordination of HR-related seminars, workshops, and employee development programs.
  • Provide assistance in reviewing and updating job descriptions and company policies.
  • Develop presentations, reports, and orientations related to HR functions and support operations.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor (4 Years) / Master Degree in Human Resource, Business Administration, or related fields from an HEC-recognized / affiliated institute/university.
