SBP Banking Services Corporation (SBP BSC), a fully owned subsidiary of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), operates through a network of 16 field offices across the country. SBP BSC is a working arm of the State Bank, with its headquarters located in Karachi.
Fire and Safety Officer (Contractual)
Location: Karachi
Responsibilities:
- Appointment of Fire and Safety Officer (Contractual basis).
- Monitoring safety arrangements and recommending improvements.
- Participating in the opening of bids for new city eco-pits.
- Placing fire extinguishers at suitable locations and ensuring their validity.
- Identifying fire hazards and liaising with the engineering department.
- Conducting training for fire fighters/security guards and planning projects.
- Participating in fire safety inspections, verifying fire protection equipment tests, preparing and drafting security policies, and reporting violations.
- Preparing technical specifications for safety and security equipment and overseeing their proper maintenance.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university accredited by HEC.
- Preference will be given to candidates with Fire Fighting Certification courses.
- Appointment on contract basis.
- The candidate holding a degree in Business Administration will be given additional preference.
- Ten years of experience in Mechanical Equipment Operation and Multi-Office, including testing fire suppression systems and fire detection.
- Familiarity with Pakistan’s Building Codes, especially fire safety provisions, is essential.
- Required qualifications include knowledge of safety and security eco-paints such as package scanners, walk-through notes, hydraulic road blockers, turnstiles, and road surveillance systems (CCTV systems) control.
