Detail About Sub Engineer Pakistan Railways Jobs 2024
Applications are invited by Pakistan Railways, Headquarters office, Lahore, for the appointment/engagement of retired supervisory staff of the Signal Department on a contract basis for a period of one year. Suitable candidates who have retired on superannuation (i.e., at 60 years of age) are encouraged to apply for the positions mentioned below, subject to physical fitness.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Retired Sub Engineer/Signal (BS-11) or Signal Inspector (BS-16)
- Age Limit: Maximum age limit shall be 62 years.
Terms and Conditions for Contract Appointment
- Only candidates who have worked in the above category will be eligible for contract appointment.
- The selected candidates will draw their salary according to their last pay drawn along with usual allowances, admissible under the contract appointment rules. However, they will not be entitled to any gratuity or pension.
- The period of the contract is one year and may be extended for an additional year if required by Pakistan Railways.
- The competent authority reserves the right to reject any application for contract appointment without providing any reason.
- The number of posts can be changed without any prior notice.
- Selected candidates will be required to pass a medical fitness examination from Pakistan Railways Hospital only.
- Those who were compulsorily removed, dismissed, or retired on medical grounds will not be eligible for appointment.
- Call letters will only be issued to candidates eligible for contract appointments.
- No TA/DA will be paid to candidates called for an interview and medical examination.
- The selected persons will be posted anywhere within the entire Railway System.

- All educational certificates
- National Identity Card (Computerized)
- Railway retired Identity Card/Experience Certificate
- Photocopy of PPO
- Photocopy of LPC
- Service Certificate
- Three (03) fresh passport size photographs
- Three (03) postal envelopes (with RAD card) and complete address, including cell number written thereon
