Detail About DAAD-HEC EFFAL Scholarships 2024
The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) in collaboration with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) announces the call for applications for the DAAD-HEC EFFAL Scholarships for female Afghan refugees in Pakistan for the academic year 2024.
Eligibility Criteria:
Nationality and Residence:
- Female Afghan refugees residing in Pakistan with a valid Proof of Registration Card (POR) from the Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON), Government of Pakistan.
Academic Background:
- Completion of an HEC-recognized undergraduate degree (16 years of education) with a minimum CGPA of 2.5. (Result-awaiting students may not apply)
Current Education:
- Either successfully completed an undergraduate degree (16 years of education) with HEC facilitating admission, OR currently enrolled in the first semester in an HEC-recognized university, pursuing a graduate degree.
Any Other Support:
- Candidates must not be receiving any other academic scholarship or support while availing this scholarship program.

Selection Process:
Selection will be merit-based, taking into account academic credentials and a selection interview.
Required Documents:
- Copy of Valid Proof of Registration (POR) from the Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON), Government of Pakistan.
- Copy of Matriculation and Intermediate certificates with Detailed Mark Certificates (DMCs).
- Copy of the undergraduate degree and final transcript.
- Two letters of recommendation from teachers.
- Letter of Motivation/Personal Statement.
- In case of current enrollment, proof of enrollment in the institute (Admission Letter/Bonafide Letter).
